ABC Baby Quilt

This past weekend has been very odd for me.  I usually don't get the urge to sewing during the summer months.  I'm more of a cold weather sewer.  BUT...I got the itch a while back to embroider the alphabet.  No pattern or idea at the time, just an itch.  As most crafter's know, we sometimes know we want to create but not sure of the 'what'.  That's how I started this.  By the time I got to the 'B' I knew what I wanted it to look like.....in my head anyway.  I sat down with some graph paper, ruler, pencil, calculator, and the vision in my head.  After umpteen attempts to make it look right and be the finished size I wanted, I think I figured it out.  I'm impressed...so far.  That was the hard part.  The sewing is the easy part!  

Now to pick all my colors from my stash.   I cut all the strips out and got started right away sewing the blocks together.  I really like this....so far :)

I love the colors and how this is coming together.  I'll keep you posted on how it's going.
