I had sewn myself a bag like this a year ago or so. I cant imagine not having it. I fill it up with crafts I can do while traveling, magazines, or anything else I may need. The pockets on the outside go all the way around and are big enough for a water bottle to fit in. The pockets are big enough to fit your hand in them without getting it stuck.
I also lined the inside so its extra sturdy. I didn't put any pockets in the inside since there are so many on the outside. The bag is 13" high and 21" from side to side. It has a flat bottom so it stays where you put it. I can see this bag being used for so many different things.
